I have dwelled in Portugal for the past ten years and developed a clear sense of place-based homeliness: somewhere in between the red clay soil of the Algarve’s Barrocal region, the lush green fields and forests of the Sintra mountains and the deep Atlantic blue, that is where i have found an ancestral connection to this land, its people and diverse forms of being.
